Chapter 3

The light of Christ is a power for good in the lives of all people:

Moroni 7 16-19: What i got from these scriptures is that the light of christ is something that we all need to strive for. What i mean by this is that we are all given the choice to do and to do evil and the lord always wants us to do the good so that we might better ourselves and become more like him but Satin is there trying to make us do his work instead of the lords and this is where we make the choice to follow the lord or give into satins evil. But if we follow Christ we will be able to better ourselves and be able to recive the many blessings that he has in store for us.

D&C 88 11-13: What i feel is being said in these scriptures is that the lord is in everything that we do. Like he has created all things so everything we have is his and he has given it to us. He has given us our bodies and this wonderful earth for us to come down and recieve these bodies and be tested but also he has made it so that his light will help guide our lives. If we follow him we will be able to feel his light and be able to do everything his way.... the right way.

The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead

John 14:26: So what i gleamed from this is that the lord sent the Holy Ghost in his place when he left this earth because since he isn't here on earth with us he has sent the Holy Ghost in his stead. But that is not the only thing that the Holy Ghost does he is here to bring comfort to those in need and also to teach us. He is here to testify to us when we are learning things that are of the Lord and also he will bring to our rememberance the knowledge that we have learned so that we may be able to use it when we need it at any time or place.

3 Nephi 28:11: In this scripture the lord tells us that we are given the holy ghost so that he can testify of the lord. He is here so that we can learn more about the lord and also so that we can know that the things that we learn are true.

There are many ways that the Holy Ghost influences our lives for good.

1 Nephi 4:6: Many times in our lives we have things that we have to do that we have no idea how to do. For some it might be that we have to teach a lesson but we don't know how to teach or we don't know a thing about what we are teaching. But with the Holy Spirit we have the chance and the opportunity to be able to do the things which the lord hath commanded because he has provided a way for us to do and if we put our trust in him the spirit with guide us through and we will accomplish the things that we set out to do.

2 Nephi 33:1: What i got from this is that many times we have the opportunity to teach others about the church and everything included in that. And many times we don't know what to say or how to properly say what we want to. but if we listen to the spirit and we say what the spirit wants us to say it will have a powerful affect in that it will carry our message to the hearts of men in that they will be able to understand the message and be able to apply it to there lives if they listen with an open heart and an open mind

Sensitivity and obedience to the Spirit is one fo a missionary's greatest resources.

D&C 43:15-16: What i got from these scriptures is that we as elders and teachers of his gospel are not here to just learn his gospel but we are to teach it as well. We are to share it with everyone so that they may be edified and if we teach with the spirit we will be able to teach those who want to listen. And when we teach with the holy spirit we are able to learn and teach at the same time.

D&C 50:21-22: What i got from these scriptures is that when we teach with the spirit not only the persone that we are teaching is learning but we as well are learning. We are both being edified because the spirit of the lord is testifying the truthfulness of these things to us making it so that we understand the true meaning of what is being taught.
