Personal worthiness is necessary to accomplish missionary work

1. D&C 39:42 What i gleamed from this scripture is that we need to have personal worthiness before we can go out and be a vessel unto the lord.  So what that means is that we all have to personally be worthy to do the lords work weather that is being a worthy priesthood holder or being in the relief society presidency we need to personally worthy to fulfill that calling. And with this topic concerning missionary work we need to be personally worthy of our mission so that we can have the lords help with us all the time so that we can teach his lost sheep and so that we might have the opportunity to bring them back unto the fold.

2. D&C 88:74 From this scripture i got the impression that it is our job to make sure that we are worthy to serve the lord.  We are the ones that decide weather or not we are worthy and so we are the only ones that can do anything about our status of being worthy.

Personal worthiness allows prospective missionaries to obtain temple blessings.

1. Psalm 24:3-5 What i gleamed from these scriptures is that those who are worthy to serve will be called and they will rightfully be blessed.

2. D&C 109:22-23 What i got from these scriptures is that if we have the lord on our side we can and will be able to do all his work. also we will do it to the fullest and will have done a good job.

Repentance is a cleansing process that allows us to become worthy

1. Mosiah 26:29 what i got from this scripture is that we will be held accountable for all of our sins and the only way for us to be able to get rid of those sins is thru the process of repentance and thru this process are we forgiven of the sins that we profess.

2. Helamen 14:13 what i got is that only thru the process of repentance are we forgiven and only thru this process will we ever be truly forgiven of our sins.

 Missionaries assist in the gathering of Isreal

D&C  29:7:  What i got from this is that we are here to gather the lords children and he will help us by softening there hearts and allowing us to teach them the gospel.

D&C 110:11 I was impressed that this work has been a work that has gone on for many years and it will be going on till it is done. I also got that there is great work ahead of us and that there is plenty of work for all to do.

The focus of missionary work is to invite people to Christ

1 Nephi 6:4 What i got from this scripture was that our work is to teach them the gospel and of our savior so that they might know the truth and be able to choose for themselves if they want to accept it.

2 Nephi 25:26 What i got from this scripture is that our focus is to bring the lost sheep back to the fold and give them the opportunity to repent of there sins here on earth and be able to have the chance to live the gospel and learn it here on earth.

A full-time mission call comes from the Lord through His authorized servants

D&C 11:15 what i got from this scripture is that we are not to suppose that we have been called on a mission until we have been called by the lord to serve.  Also i think that this scripture is telling us that we are not to feel that we can choose our mission we need to be ready to accept where the lord wants us to go and not where we want to go.

D&C 64:29 what i got from this scripture is that we are serving the lord and his has a work planned out for us and what that means is that we aren't going on a mission to do what we want how we want when we want but we are going to do the lords work his way and that is the only way that it will be done.
